This achievement highlights our commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of children in our community.</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> </div> <div class="x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a"> <div dir="auto">Lapu-Lapu City fosters a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for its youth. The city's local government units (LGUs) focus on the four rights of the child—survival, development, protection, and participation—as key indicators of their initiatives and efforts. Through these endeavors, the Lapu-Lapu City government works hand in hand with the City Health Office, the City Social Welfare and Development Office, and the City Council to address these matters.</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> </div> <div class="x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a"> <div dir="auto">Additionally, these initiatives highlight Lapu-Lapu City’s strong programs aimed at enhancing the lives of its youngest citizens, with a focus on advancements in social services, healthcare, education, and security.</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> </div> <div class="x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a"> <div dir="auto">The Local Youth and Development Office, in partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan, is also actively involved in ensuring that the youth are engaged and participating in various activities.</div> <div dir="auto"> </div> </div> <div class="x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a"> <div dir="auto">Violent incidents in the city involving minors are isolated cases. I have instructed the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office to enforce the curfew ordinance and monitor the situation, ensuring that parents are informed and encouraged to provide proper guidance and education regarding their children's activities and whereabouts.</div> </div>
